A forever star, for your child. 

A smart companion toy for children who have lost their parents to the pandemic

From January 1, 2020, to May, 1, 2022, nearly 8 million kids age 18 and under lost a parent or primary caregiver to a pandemic-related cause. Including the deaths of secondary caregivers like grandparents or other older relatives, the number of kids affected is 10.5 million. 
 

Tara, the product

Tara can keep children feeling connected to the loved one they lost and it can help bridge communication gaps and enable deeper connections between the child and caregiver. 

Electronics

AI powered, Tara comes with two small cameras to record videos, one microphone to record audio and a speaker.

Software

An microchip with wifi connectivity is the main controlling unit for Tara.

Manufcaturing

Made out of memory and latex foam, Tara is firm and yet soft. It is durable and the cloth cover can be washed.

Hardware

Multifunction buttons can be long pressed to record video, single pressed to capture an image or double pressed to capture audio. Tara can be charged with a USB C type charger.
